A few weeks back, I blogged about our new routine. Well, excited reader, that routine has been growing! We're excited to tell you, in the style of Craig David meets The Cure, precisely what the routine currently looks like.
Monday doesn't really have any particular moniker, which means we're straight into Biscuit-Baking Tuesday, when Helen creates all kinds of sweet magic in the kitchen. This week resulted in this tremendous shortbread sculpture:

Tuesday is followed by Wing-It Wednesday, although we haven't yet worked out exactly what that means!
Thursday is, of course, Takeout Thursday. This week we went to Tender Greens, a local place that does fairly healthy entrees and sandwiches. I had steak and mashed potatoes; Helen enjoyed salmon, salad and potato wedges. Thursday leads to Milkshake Friday; even the folks that run the Palo Alto Creamery now know that I'll be in there regularly on a Friday evening.
Saturday seems like a day off, but there's a new kid on the block - Ice Cream Sunday! A couple of Sundays ago we noticed that Tin Pot Creamery, a local ice cream place (as in, they're based in Los Altos, just a few miles from here, and have just 3 or 4 small shops), which has a shop about a mile away, was still open for takeout. Given that they make *the best* ice cream there is, it was too good an opportunity to miss. Well, dear reader, I can now safely say they also do the best ice cream sandwiches out there too. It's now become a Sunday night tradition to wander over there and pick up some of their delightful wares.

It's good to be able to support local businesses at this time, and our new alliterative routine lets us do just that. It's just a shame there isn't a day which starts with D for Diet!
